Ron Campos - Founder / Coach
Professor Ron is a 4th degree black belt with over 25 years of experience in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
He began his training as a teen in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, moved to the UK in 2001 where he fought professionally in MMA and moved to the US in 2004, opening the first Fenix Jiu Jitsu Gym in 2007.
He has been teaching BJJ for over 20 years, is a certified IBJJF referee with 15 years of experience and has competed professionally in both Mixed Martial Arts and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, earning many titles through his 20+ years of competing:

Coach Vini
Vini was born and raised in Florianopolis, Brasil. He is one of the owners of Frontline Academy Bergen in Norway and pioneered their renowned kids’ program.
He graduated from the Western Norway University of Applied Sciences in 2015, with a degree in physical education and sports pedagogy specializing in psychology, sports injury prevention, physiology, anatomy and bio-mechanics. Coach Vini is fluent in Norwegian, English and Portuguese.
Vini holds a black belt under Eduardo Teta Rios and Andre Fievel de Carvalho and is active in both national and international competitions.
Coach Greg
Coach Greg, a Fenix BJJ Black Belt, began his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu journey in January 2015. A combat veteran with service in Iraq and Afghanistan, Coach Greg proudly serves as the New England Ambassador for the We Defy Foundation. This foundation is dedicated to providing long-term support for injured combat veterans, aiding them in overcoming challenges through the practice of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
In addition to his commitment to the We Defy Foundation, Greg is a seasoned competitor, holding victories in Masters Worlds, American Nationals, Pan Americans (both Gi and No Gi), and holding multiple titles as an IBJJF champion and medalist.

Coach Ethan
Coach Ethan is a Fenix BJJ Brown Belt that has been training since 2014 under Coach Ron. He began instructing in 2017 as a blue belt and has developed a passion for helping others achieve their goals. He has experience teaching group and private classes for adults, teens, and kids. Ethan has been an active competitor since white belt, with experience across IBJJF, Grappling Industries, NAGA, Fuji, and Good Fight events. Jiu Jitsu World League purple belt lightweight champion.
Coach Chris
Coach Chris is a Fenix BJJ black belt and has been training under Coach Ron at Fenix since 2013. He has been a valuable member of the coaching staff since 2017, working with children, teenagers, and adults.
Chris has been an active competitor since white belt. He is a multi-time IBJJF open champion and medalist, multi-time Naga champion and medalist, a champion at The Good Fight, a champion at Fuji, and a 2x Fight 2 Win Pro Champion
